A self taught photographer with a degree in chemistry and mathematics from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College (now Randolph College) in Virginia, I find my way to workshops offered to improve my skills. I attended a workshop offered by nature photographer George Lepp and was a member of the 2010 Class of the Artist as Entrepreneur sponsored by the Broward County Cultural Arts Division.

I serve as the professional artist on the Coral Springs Art in Public Places Committee and am also a board member of the Broward Art Guild and volunteer coordinator.  I am serving as the Area 1 Chairman for the Florida Artist Group (FLAG), First Vice President (competition) of the Coral Springs Camera Club and past vice president of the Coral Springs Artist Guild. Also, I hold membership in the Photographic Society of America. I am a member and the exhibit coordinator of the Everglades Chapter of the Photographic Society of America.

A solo exhibit of my Florida birds hung at the Ft. Lauderdale City Hall during November 2013. As a graduate of the Artist as Entrepreneur Institute sponsored by the Broward Cultural division, my images of the natural world were selected for the January 2013 "Doing Business as Artists" Exhibition. The Coral Springs Museum of Art was the venue for an exhibit of my Florida bird photography, along with two other artists in the spring, 2012.  My exhibit, "The Family of Birds" hung in the Lee Wagener Art Gallery at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport July-October 2012.
