I am a photographer who looks for unusual details. The small corners and crevices that frequently go unnoticed create the body of my work. My canvas is fashioned from the everyday beauty in nature that draws my eye into a place that most people would pass by without a glance. When the shutter closes on my camera, I have captured a moment that would otherwise be lost forever.
My work is not created from a blank canvas but rather taken from the cluttered world around me. It is simplified by focusing on the small details. As a photographer, I choose my subject matter from the world as I find it rather than creating a piece of art in my mind before painting it on a canvas. It is my wish that the viewer will take away an appreciation of the beauty of those small corners in nature that they would normally disregard.
